Coaching material is printed in volume, on a batch schedule. Good planning matters more than any single print job.
1. Organise the material
Split content into a sensible set of items: modules by subject, practice books, question banks and test papers. Give each a code, edition and version number.
2. Format for print
- Use a consistent template for headings, questions, options and solutions.
- Number questions clearly.
- Check diagrams and formulae at print size.
3. Plan by batch
Work back from each batch’s start date. Show the printer the calendar so material arrives before it is needed.
4. Decide quantities
Base them on enrolment plus a spare. Keep files for repeat orders, which are more likely than one big run.
5. Choose specifications
- Paper, binding and cover that survive a term of use.
- Black and white for most content, with colour pages only where needed.
6. Multiple centres
Give the printer a centre-wise list of quantities and addresses so dispatch can be split.
7. Revisions
Exams change. Keep a change log and reprint only the modules that changed.
