- What is the timeline from approved proof to delivery?
- What do you need from me, and by when?
- Will you tell me early if something slips?
Ask about the method
- Is this digital or offset, and why for this quantity?
- Do you print in-house or coordinate with partners? Either can work if it is clearly explained.
Ask about the relationship
- Will I have a named contact?
- Can you keep my files for repeat orders?
- Can you handle formatting, cover design and delivery, or only printing?
Red flags
- Vague quotes with no specification.
- Pressure to print more than you need.
- No proof before production.
